Zomacton comes in the form of an injectable powder and is used to treat growth failure in adults and children who lack the natural growth hormone. Zomacton is also used in adults to treat short bowel syndrome or to prevent severe AIDS-related weight loss. You should not use Zomacton if you have cancer or diabetic retinopathy. Common side effects may include pain, itching, swelling and rapid weight gain.
- Joint or muscle pain, stiffness or pain in your arms or legs
- Increased sweating
- Ear pain, fluid draining from your ear
- Swelling of the breasts or breast soreness (in both females and males)
- Pain, redness, burning, swelling, a hard lump, or skin changes where your shot is given
