Ephedrine sulfate is a sympathomimetic amine used primarily as a bronchodilator and nasal decongestant. It also possesses pressor properties, making it useful in maintaining blood pressure during spinal anesthesia. Ephedrine stimulates the heart and central nervous system and can treat low blood pressure primarily caused by anesthesia.Side Effects

- Shallow breathing, pale or blue skin
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, enlarged prostate, thyroid problems, or a history of stroke.
