Kloxxado
Kloxxado 2 Liquid
What is Kloxxado?
Kloxxado is a nasal spray formulation containing naloxone hydrochloride, a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of opioid overdose. With an 8 mg dosage per spray, it is designed for immediate administration in emergency situations where opioid-induced respiratory depression or suspected overdose occurs. Kloxxado is intended for both adult and pediatric use, making it a critical component of emergency response kits in environments with risk of opioid exposure.Side Effects
- Lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting
- Crying more than usual (in babies)
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Ongoing trouble breathing
- This medicine could cause withdrawal symptoms from the opioid medicine.
- The effects of the opioid medicine may last longer than the effects of the naloxone. This means the breathing problems and sleepiness could come back. Always call for emergency help after the first dose of naloxone.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart or blood vessel disease.
- This medicine should be given right away after a suspected or known overdose of an opioid (narcotic) medicine. This will help prevent serious breathing problems and severe sleepiness that can lead to death.
