What is Rhopressa?
Rhopressa (netarsudil ophthalmic solution) is a prescription eye drop used to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by inhibiting the enzyme Rho kinase, which leads to increased aqueous outflow and subsequently reduces intraocular pressure. Rhopressa is typically administered once daily in the affected eye(s).Side Effects
- Blurred vision or other changes in vision, severe eye irritation or inflammation
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Ophthalmic routeIf you hurt your eye, develop an eye infection, or need to have eye surgery, talk with your doctor right away. You may need to change your medicine or stop using it.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have eye disease or vision problems.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
