¿Qué es Aminocaproic Acid?
El ácido aminocapróico es un derivado sintético del aminoácido lisina que actúa como un agente antifibrinolítico al inhibir las sustancias activadoras del plasminógeno y, en menor grado, la actividad de la plasmina. Se utiliza principalmente en el tratamiento de sangrados agudos debido a una actividad fibrinolítica elevada en condiciones como extracciones dentales en pacientes con hemofilia, sangrados menstruales abundantes y en cirugías donde existe un riesgo de pérdida excesiva de sangre. Su uso ayuda a reducir la necesidad de transfusiones de sangre estabilizando los coágulos y previniendo la pérdida excesiva de sangre.Side Effects
- Slow or uneven heartbeat
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Blood in your urine
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have hemophilia, anemia, or other problems with your blood. Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart, liver, or kidney disease or disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
