¿Qué es Hiberix?
Hiberix es una vacuna indicada para la inmunización activa contra Haemophilus influenzae tipo b (Hib), una bacteria responsable de infecciones graves como meningitis, neumonía y epiglotitis, especialmente en niños pequeños. Contiene polisacárido capsular purificado de fosfato de polirribosil-ribitol de Hib unido a una proteína toxoide tetánica, lo que mejora la respuesta inmunitaria del cuerpo frente a la bacteria.Side Effects

- Irritability
- Redness at the injection site
Warnings
- Do not administer to individuals with a previous severe allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine or after a previous dose.
- Use caution in individuals with thrombocytopenia or any coagulation disorder because bleeding may occur following intramuscular administration.
- As with any vaccine, Hiberix may not protect 100% of individuals receiving the vaccine.
- Vaccination should be postponed in individuals suffering from an acute severe febrile illness.
- Inform your healthcare provider if the child has a weakened immune system or is taking immunosuppressive therapy, as the vaccine may be less effective.
