¿Qué es Hyftor?
Hyftor (sirolimus) es una formulación tópica utilizada para tratar angiofibromas faciales en pacientes con complejo de esclerosis tuberosa (TSC) de 6 años de edad en adelante. Este medicamento inhibe la señalización mTOR, reduciendo así el tamaño y la rojez de los nódulos faciales asociados con TSC, mejorando la apariencia de la piel y la calidad de vida del paciente.Side Effects
- Blistering, peeling, red skin rash
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Chest pain, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Topical application routeDo not use this medicine to treat a skin problem your doctor has not examined. Tell your doctor if you have skin infection at the affected areas.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Serious infections, including progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML)Increased risk of cancer, including lymphoma and skin cancerLung or breathing problems, including interstitial lung disease, pneumonitis, pulmonary fibrosis
- This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Wear sunscreen. Do not use sunlamps or tanning beds. Wear protective clothing, including a hat and sunglasses.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment with this medicine.
- It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for at least 12 weeks after the last dose.
