Lapatinib Ditosilato es un inhibidor oral de la tirosina quinasa que se utiliza principalmente en el tratamiento del cáncer de mama avanzado o metastásico, especialmente en pacientes cuyos tumores sobreexpresan el receptor 2 del factor de crecimiento epidérmico humano (HER2). Al dirigirse a HER2 y al receptor del factor de crecimiento epidérmico (EGFR), Lapatinib interfiere con las vías clave involucradas en la proliferación y supervivencia de las células cancerosas. - Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

Warnings
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Heart problems, including changes in heart rhythmLiver problemsLung problems (including interstitial lung disease or pneumonitis)Serious skin reactions
- Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, heart disease, heart rhythm problems (including QT prolongation), electrolyte imbalance, or lung disease.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment with this medicine and for 1 week after the last dose.
- Oral routeThis medicine may cause birth defects if either partner is using it during conception or pregnancy. Tell your doctor right away if you or your partner becomes pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment with this medicine and for 1 week after the last dose. Male patients with female partners should use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for 1 week after the last dose.
