MenQuadfi es una vacuna meningocócica indicada para la inmunización activa para prevenir la enfermedad meningocócica invasiva causada por los serogrupos A, C, Y y W de Neisseria meningitidis en individuos de 2 años de edad en adelante. La vacuna funciona estimulando la respuesta inmunitaria del cuerpo para producir anticuerpos contra los meningococos, proporcionando inmunidad protectora contra estas bacterias. MenQuadfi se administra como una única dosis mediante una inyección intramuscular.Side Effects
- Fever
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Fainting
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a weak immune system or a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
- This vaccine may not protect everyone who receives it. This vaccine will not prevent tetanus, and will not treat symptoms of meningococcal infection if you already have the disease.
