¿Qué es Sivextro?
Sivextro (fosfato de tedizolid) es un medicamento antibacteriano de la clase de las oxazolidinonas aprobado para el tratamiento de infecciones agudas de la piel y estructuras cutáneas (ABSSSI) causadas por ciertas bacterias susceptibles, incluyendo MRSA (Staphylococcus aureus resistente a la meticilina). Administrado ya sea por vía oral o intravenosa, Sivextro proporciona una opción de terapia de corta duración, típicamente una vez al día durante seis días, ofreciendo un tratamiento efectivo para pacientes adultos y pediátricos de 12 años de edad en adelante.Side Effects
- Severe and watery diarrhea that may contain blood
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a low white blood cell count or diarrhea.
- This medicine can cause diarrhea. Call your doctor if the diarrhea becomes severe, does not stop, or is bloody. Do not take any medicine to stop diarrhea until you have talked to your doctor. Diarrhea can occur 2 months or more after you stop taking this medicine.
