¿Qué es Verkazia?
Verkazia (emulsión oftálmica de ciclosporina) es un agente inmunosupresor formulado para uso tópico ocular. Está aprobado para el tratamiento de la queratoconjuntivitis vernal, una forma grave de conjuntivitis alérgica crónica que afecta principalmente a niños y adolescentes. Verkazia funciona inhibiendo la respuesta inmune que contribuye a la inflamación, reduciendo el picor ocular y el malestar.Side Effects
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Feeling like something is in your eye
- Mild, brief burning in your eyes
Warnings
- Ophthalmic routeIf you hurt your eye, develop an eye infection, or need to have eye surgery, talk with your doctor right away. You may need to change your medicine or stop using it.
- Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have an eye infection.
