Butalbital-Aspirin-Caffeine is a combination drug that is used to treat tension headaches and relieves mild to moderate pain. Aspirin helps to decrease the pain from a headache. Caffeine increases the effects of aspirin. Butalbital is a sedative that helps to decrease anxiety and cause sleepiness and relaxation. Butalbital-Aspirin-Caffeine is indicated for use by adults and is available as a capsule.
- Drowsiness
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation, passing gas
- Blue lips, fingernails, or skin
- Change or loss of consciousness, hearing loss, pale, clammy skin, shakiness in the legs, arms, hands, or feet, trouble sleeping
- Chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Blistering, peeling, red skin rash
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Fast, slow, or pounding heartbeat
- Lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting

- Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, Addison disease, lung or breathing problems (including asthma), an enlarged prostate, trouble urinating, an underactive thyroid, Reye syndrome, stomach problems, or any kind of infection (including chickenpox, flu). Tell your doctor if you have a history of head injury, seizures, or a history of drug or alcohol abuse.
