What is Cequa ?
Cequa (cyclosporine ophthalmic solution) is an immunosuppressive agent approved by the FDA for the treatment of dry eye disease. It functions by increasing tear production through the stimulation of lacrimal glands, helping to alleviate the symptoms associated with dry eye. Cequa is available in a preservative-free, single-use vial to be used twice daily.
- Red, watery, or itchy eyes
- Blurred vision or other changes in vision

- Mild, brief burning in your eyes
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing

- Ophthalmic routeIf you hurt your eye, develop an eye infection, or need to have eye surgery, talk with your doctor right away. You may need to change your medicine or stop using it.
