What is Cequa?
Cequa (cyclosporine ophthalmic solution) is an immunosuppressive agent approved by the FDA for the treatment of dry eye disease. It functions by increasing tear production through the stimulation of lacrimal glands, helping to alleviate the symptoms associated with dry eye. Cequa is available in a preservative-free, single-use vial to be used twice daily.Side Effects

- Mild, brief burning in your eyes
Warnings
- Ophthalmic routeIf you hurt your eye, develop an eye infection, or need to have eye surgery, talk with your doctor right away. You may need to change your medicine or stop using it.
- Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have an eye infection.
