Junel FE 1/20 prevents egg release from the ovaries (ovulation) and other body changes to prevent pregnancy. This medication also contains an iron supplement. Junel FE 1/20 is a brand version of the combination drug norethindrone acetate-ethinyl estradiol/ferrous fumarate. The components of Junel FE 1/20 have been available for years. For birth control, Junel FE 1/20 use is common.
