¿Qué es Motegrity?
Motegrity (prucalopride) es un medicamento con receta utilizado para tratar el estreñimiento crónico idiopático (CIC) en adultos. Funciona estimulando los músculos del intestino para promover el movimiento intestinal, mejorando así la motilidad gastrointestinal. Este agonista selectivo del receptor de serotonina tipo 4 (5-HT4) generalmente se recomienda para individuos que no han respondido adecuadamente a otros tratamientos laxantes.Side Effects
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Changes in mood or behavior, agitation, anxiety, restlessness, thoughts or attempts of hurting yourself or others
Warnings
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- This medicine may cause worsening of depression and thoughts or attempts of suicide. Make sure family members know about this. Always tell your doctor about any behavior changes, depression, intense feelings, or thoughts of hurting yourself or others.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, or a history of depression or mood problems.
