What is Nisoldipine Er ?
Nisoldipine ER (extended-release) is a calcium channel blocker used primarily to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. It is typically prescribed for once-daily oral administration to ensure consistent blood levels and effective management of blood pressure throughout the day.
- Cough, runny or stuffy nose, or sore throat.
- Headache.
- Skin rash.
- Stomach discomfort or nausea.
- Swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet.
- Rapid weight gain.
- Unusual tiredness or weakness.
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Chest pain.
- Fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeats.
- Lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting.
- Warmth or redness in your face, neck, arms, or upper chest.
- Shortness of breath or wheezing.
- Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart disease, liver disease, stomach problems, or aortic stenosis (narrowing of a valve in your heart).
- This medicine may make you dizzy or lightheaded. Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.
- Do not stop using this medicine suddenly. Your doctor will need to slowly decrease your dose before you stop it completely.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
