¿Qué es Radiogardase?
Radiogardase, también conocido como azul de Prusia insoluble o ferrocianuro férrico(II), es un medicamento oral utilizado para tratar el envenenamiento por talio y el envenenamiento por cesio no radiactivo, así como para mejorar la eliminación de cesio radiactivo del cuerpo después de una exposición radiológica o nuclear. Este agente funciona al unirse a los iones de cesio y talio en los intestinos, reduciendo así su absorción sistémica y facilitando su excreción en las heces, reduciendo efectivamente la carga corporal de estas sustancias tóxicas.Side Effects
- Constipation
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Dry mouth, increased thirst, muscle cramps, nausea or vomiting, uneven heartbeat
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease or arrhythmias (heart rhythm problems).
- This medicine may cause low potassium levels.
- This medicine slows digestion and may cause constipation. Tell your doctor if you have digestion problems.
- This medicine may cause your stools to turn blue. This is normal and nothing to worry about. Also, if you open the capsules and mix them with food, your mouth and teeth may also turn blue.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
