¿Qué es Verquvo?
Verquvo (vericiguat) es un medicamento con receta utilizado para tratar la insuficiencia cardíaca crónica en adultos con fracción de eyección reducida que están experimentando síntomas agudizados a pesar del tratamiento óptimo con otras terapias para la insuficiencia cardíaca. Funciona estimulando la guanilato ciclasa soluble (sGC), una enzima en el sistema cardiovascular que ayuda a relajar los vasos sanguíneos y mejorar la función cardíaca. Verquvo se administra típicamente una vez al día en conjunto con otros tratamientos para la insuficiencia cardíaca.Side Effects
- Lightheadedness or fainting
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness
Warnings
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. If you are a woman who can get pregnant, your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before starting treatment. Use an effective birth control while you are using this medicine and for at least 1 month after your last dose.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease or liver disease.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment with this medicine.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
