Wegovy Black Friday 2026: Are There Any Discounts or Savings Cards?

Novo Nordisk does not run a Black Friday sale on Wegovy. But the year-round prices changed a lot in 2026, and some of them run out on December 31. Here is every way to pay, checked against Novo Nordisk and Medicare in October 2026.

Medically informed guide · Updated October 2026 · 7 min read

There is no Black Friday discount on Wegovy. The real savings are year-round: as little as $25/month with commercial insurance that covers it, $199/month for the first two self-pay months of the pen (new patients, through December 31, 2026), then $349/month, the Wegovy pill from $149/month self-pay, and $50/month for eligible Medicare patients through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge.

  • Black Friday sale from Novo Nordisk: none announced.
  • Commercial insurance with coverage: as little as $25/month, up to $100/month in savings.
  • Self-pay pen: $199/month for 2 fills of 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg (new patients, offer through December 31, 2026), then $349/month.
  • Self-pay pill: $149 (1.5 mg), $199 (4 mg), $299 (9 mg and 25 mg) per month.
  • Medicare Part D: $50/month through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027, for those who qualify.
  • List price: $1,349.02 per package.
Bottom line: Skip the Black Friday search. Check your insurance first, then Medicare if you have Part D, then Novo Nordisk's own self-pay prices. If you are new to Wegovy and paying cash, the $199 intro months are a reason to start before December 31, 2026.

Is there a Wegovy Black Friday deal?

No. As of October 2026, Novo Nordisk has not announced any Black Friday or Cyber Monday price on Wegovy, and prescription drug makers generally do not run holiday sales. Wegovy is a prescription medicine, so its price depends on your coverage and on the programs Novo Nordisk runs all year.

That said, timing does matter this year. The $199 intro price for new self-pay patients on the pen is set to run through December 31, 2026. Novo Nordisk says it can change or end its programs at any time, so check NovoCare before you fill.

With commercial insurance

If your employer or marketplace plan covers Wegovy, the Wegovy savings offer can bring your cost down to as little as $25 a month, with savings capped at $100 a month. That means if your copay is high, you could still pay more than $25. People with Medicare, Medicaid or other government coverage cannot use the savings card.

Many plans need a prior authorization for weight-loss medicines. Ask your provider to submit one before you assume your plan will not pay. If your plan says no, you can ask about an appeal.

Self-pay through NovoCare

If you have no coverage, Novo Nordisk sells Wegovy directly to self-pay patients through NovoCare Pharmacy, with home delivery or pickup.

  • Pen, intro offer: $199 for each of your first two months on 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg, for patients new to the offer or to NovoCare Pharmacy, through December 31, 2026.
  • Pen, after the intro: $349 a month for 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg.
  • Wegovy HD 7.2 mg pen: $399 a month.
  • Wegovy pill: $149 a month for 1.5 mg, $199 for 4 mg and $299 for 9 mg and 25 mg. NovoCare labels pill pricing a limited-time offer without listing an end date.

💡 Self-pay does not count toward your deductible

NovoCare notes that self-pay purchases do not count toward your insurance deductible or out-of-pocket limit. If you expect to meet your deductible anyway, compare that before choosing.

Medicare and the GLP-1 Bridge

Medicare drug plans have long been barred from covering medicines used only for weight loss. The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a CMS program running from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, changes that for people who qualify: a $50 copay. Novo Nordisk says the Bridge covers all doses of the Wegovy pen and pill.

  • You need Medicare Part D coverage, either a standalone drug plan or a Medicare health plan with drug coverage.
  • You do not enroll yourself. Your prescriber completes a prior authorization, and you give the pharmacy your Medicare number.
  • If you have type 2 diabetes, moderate to severe sleep apnea or fatty liver disease, Novo Nordisk says to contact your drug plan, because Wegovy for those uses runs through regular Part D benefits.
  • The $50 payment does not count toward your Part D deductible or yearly out-of-pocket limit.

Check eligibility at Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE.

Which path is cheapest for you?

  1. You have Medicare Part D: start with the GLP-1 Bridge. $50 a month is lower than any self-pay price.
  2. You have commercial insurance: ask about coverage and prior authorization, then use the savings card.
  3. You are paying cash and new to Wegovy: the $199 intro months make the first two fills cheaper if you start before December 31, 2026.
  4. You are paying cash long term: compare the $349 pen with the pill prices. Your provider can tell you whether a pill dose fits your plan.

Watch for fake Wegovy deals

Holiday shopping brings ads that look like Wegovy discounts. The FDA has warned about counterfeit Wegovy pens in the U.S. supply chain and about websites selling GLP-1 products without a prescription. Red flags include no prescription or provider visit, prices that do not match any manufacturer program, and sellers that are not licensed U.S. pharmacies. Buy only with a valid prescription from a state-licensed pharmacy.

🚨 When to Contact Your Healthcare Provider

Call your provider right away if any of these happen while taking Wegovy. Call 911 for trouble breathing, fainting or severe pain.

  • Severe belly pain that will not go away, with or without vomiting, especially if it spreads to your back: possible pancreatitis.
  • Pain in the upper right belly, fever, or yellow skin or eyes: possible gallbladder problem.
  • Vomiting or diarrhea that keeps you from drinking fluids: risk of dehydration and kidney injury.
  • Swelling of the face, lips or throat, hives or trouble swallowing: possible allergic reaction.
  • A lump in the neck, hoarseness or trouble swallowing: tell your provider promptly.
  • New or worsening depression or thoughts of self-harm: get help right away.
