What is Repatha?
Repatha (evolocumab) is a medication used primarily to treat high cholesterol levels in patients who are at high risk of cardiovascular disease, or who cannot tolerate other cholesterol-lowering medications. It is a monoclonal antibody that works by inhibiting proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9), a protein that degrades receptors responsible for removing LDL cholesterol from the bloodstream, thereby lowering LDL cholesterol levels. Repatha is administered via subcutaneous injection.

- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
