What is Soltamox?

Soltamox (tamoxifen citrate) is an oral solution form of the selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) tamoxifen, used primarily in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. It works by binding to estrogen receptors, thereby inhibiting the effects of estrogen on mammary tissue, which is crucial in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer types. Soltamox is typically prescribed for patients who prefer a liquid medication over a pill.
