Clonidina HCl es un agente hipotensor agonista alfa de acción central que también se utiliza fuera de indicación por sus propiedades analgésicas. Funciona modulando las señales de dolor a través de los receptores α2-adrenérgicos pre- y postsinápticos en el sistema nervioso central, lo que potencialmente reduce la percepción del dolor. La clonidina se usa comúnmente para el manejo del dolor neuropático y como terapia adyuvante en el tratamiento de condiciones de dolor crónico severo.Side Effects
- Trouble breathing or chest pain
- Severe stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney or heart disease.
- This medicine may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive or do anything that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.
- Do not stop using this medicine suddenly. Your doctor will need to slowly decrease your dose before you stop it completely.
- Fast or slow heartbeat
- Lightheadedness or fainting
