Leflunomide es un medicamento antirreumático modificador de la enfermedad (DMARD, por sus siglas en inglés) utilizado principalmente para manejar los síntomas de la artritis reumatoide y la artritis psoriásica. Funciona inhibiendo la enzima dihidroorotato deshidrogenasa, la cual es crucial en la síntesis de nucleótidos de pirimidina y, por lo tanto, reduce la inflamación y retarda la progresión de la enfermedad. - Chest pain or discomfort, trouble breathing
- Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow eyes or skin
- Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness
Warnings
- It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, any infection, lung disease, or a history of tuberculosis or blood or bone marrow problems.
