¿Qué es Mavyret?
Mavyret (glecaprevir y pibrentasvir) es un medicamento recetado utilizado para tratar la infección crónica por el virus de la hepatitis C (VHC) en adultos y niños mayores de 3 años. Ataca múltiples genotipos del VHC y generalmente se administra como una tableta oral diaria, con un régimen de tratamiento que puede variar de 8 a 16 semanas dependiendo del genotipo viral específico del paciente y del estado de la enfermedad hepática. Mavyret actúa inhibiendo las proteínas necesarias para que el VHC se multiplique, eliminando así el virus del cuerpo.Side Effects
- Dark urine, pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease or other liver disease (including hepatitis B). Tell your doctor if you are having a kidney or liver transplant.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
