What is Tivicay ?
Tivicay is an antiviral medication that prevents HIV from multiplying in your body. Both adults and children (who weigh at least 66 pounds) can take the medication. - Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, joint or muscle aches, unusual tiredness or weakness
- Redness, pain, or swelling of or around your eye or eyelid
- Blistering, peeling, or severe skin rash
- Sores on your lips or mouth
- Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Always practice safe sex, even if your partner also has HIV. If you stop taking this medicine or do not take it as prescribed, you may spread HIV to others. Do not reuse or share needles, or other items, that may have blood or body fluids on them.

- Your immune system may get stronger when you start taking HIV medicines. This could cause a hidden infection in your body to become active. Tell your doctor right away if you notice any changes in your health.
- Do not breastfeed. You can spread HIV or AIDS to your baby through your breast milk.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease (including hepatitis B or C), or other types of infection.
- Using this medicine while you are pregnant can harm your unborn baby. If you are a woman who can get pregnant, your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before starting treatment. Do not use this medicine during the first part of your pregnancy. Use an effective form of birth control to keep from getting pregnant. Tell your doctor right away if you think you have become pregnant.
