¿Qué es Biktarvy?
Biktarvy es un medicamento con receta utilizado para tratar la infección por VIH-1 en adultos que no han sido tratados previamente con medicamentos antirretrovirales o como reemplazo de un régimen antirretroviral actual en aquellos que están virológicamente suprimidos. Combina tres medicamentos antirretrovirales, bictegravir, emtricitabina y tenofovir alafenamida, en una sola tableta que se toma una vez al día, ofreciendo comodidad y reduciendo la probabilidad de resistencia.Side Effects
- Change in how much or how often you urinate, cloudy urine
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Fast breathing, trouble breathing, lightheadedness, severe weakness, tiredness, confusion
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, or if you have kidney disease or liver disease (including hepatitis B).
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Your immune system may get stronger when you start taking HIV medicines. This could cause a hidden infection in your body to become active. Tell your doctor right away if you notice any changes in your health.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Worsening of hepatitis B infection (if the medicine is stopped)Liver problemsKidney problemsLactic acidosis (too much acid in the blood)
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
