Junel Fe is a combination oral contraceptive that contains ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone acetate, which are synthetic hormones used to prevent pregnancy. It also includes ferrous fumarate, an iron supplement, to help prevent anemia during menstruation. Junel Fe works by inhibiting ovulation, altering the cervical mucus, and changing the uterine lining to decrease the likelihood of pregnancy.
