Seasonal allergy treatment online

Sneezing through another season? Get a plan that works.

Seasonal allergies happen when your immune system overreacts to pollen. Most people do well with OTC medicines, used the right way. If yours have not been enough, a provider can build a plan and prescribe stronger options when they will help.

Do you need a prescription? For most people the best first step is OTC: a daily steroid nasal spray like fluticasone (Flonase) plus a non-drowsy antihistamine like cetirizine, loratadine or fexofenadine. Starting the spray a couple of weeks before your season begins helps the most. Generic versions are inexpensive.

Seasonal allergies questions

What is the strongest allergy medicine?

For nasal symptoms, a steroid nasal spray used every day works better than antihistamine pills alone. Combining the two helps many people. The provider can suggest the right mix for you.

Can I get allergy medicine prescribed online?

Yes. Many of the best allergy medicines are sold over the counter, but a provider can prescribe stronger eye drops or other options when OTC treatment has not been enough.

Is it allergies or a cold?

Allergies tend to cause itchy eyes and clear drainage that lasts as long as you are exposed, without a fever or body aches. Colds usually last 7 to 10 days and may come with aches or a low fever.

How much does an online visit cost?

A flat $99 for the visit, self-pay, no insurance needed. Medication is paid separately at your pharmacy, where a free Rx.com coupon or your insurance can lower the price.

Will I definitely get a prescription?

No. The provider prescribes only when it is medically appropriate. Sometimes the right plan is OTC treatment or rest, and the provider will tell you if you need to be seen in person.
